Photographer George Steinmetz takes a self portrait with a camera mounted on a pole attached to his shoe while piloting a motorized paraglider. George was on assignment for National Geographic Magazine story about the Empty Quarter of Arabia, and is seen here over Ramlat Mitan. He used the paraglider to get an aerial perspective on the world’s largest sand sea.
