Favorite Forgotten Films
Haskell Boggs, ASC
It was way back in 1923 and I was in junior high school when I became interested in cinematography, watching pictures such as Birth of a Nation, and the films of Rudolph Valentino.
I couldn't afford to buy a camera, so when I entered high school I used the wonderful machine shop to design and build my first 35mm camera. It took two and a half years, and I made my first high school film with this camera.
