In one of the film's more tender moments, chemistry ignites between Mulder and Scully in a hallway scene. "Both David and Gillian have beautiful faces, so there wasn't too much to worry about," confides Russell. "I tried to stay with more traditional movie lighting. I use a lot of soft light, especially Kino Flos, which you can put right up to the edge of frame to get a nice, soft wrap-around light."
