  The empty interior of the Batman hangar, prior to the construction of sets. The facility measured 800' long by 500' wide by 200' high. All of the windows had to be blacked out, and safety netting had to be hung across the entire space to protect the cast and crew from old bolts that might fall from the ceiling. After eyeballing the metal support beams on either side of the hangar, production designer Nathan Crowley opted to incorporate them into his Gotham City streets.
