I have photographed more than a half-dozen films in digital formats, including The Anniversary Party in PAL (AC July ’01), The Architect in Sony HD, and Incident at Loch Ness with my trusty NTSC Panasonic DVX-100s. Maybe it’s because I haven’t worked with the Genesis or the Red, or whatever next month’s “breakthrough” is, that I am not yet a convert. Perhaps I am just unable to see the incandescent horizon line of the digital future. If that’s so, all I can say is (to paraphrase the Bard), “O, brave new world that hath such cameras in it.” Please excuse me, Mr. Huxley, I think I need to refill my prescription for soma.
