ASC Calls for Entries in Annual TV Competition

LOS ANGELES, September 28, 2006—The American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) is accepting entries for their annual Outstanding Achievement Awards in the categories of episodic television programs and television movies/miniseries/pilots. The winners will be named during the 21st Annual ASC Outstanding Achievement Awards celebration on February 18, 2007, at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel.

“This annual competition is designed to recognize and inspire artful achievements in a powerful visual storytelling medium that reaches into virtually every home in the country,” says Russ Alsobrook, ASC, chairman of the organization’s Awards Committee. “It is the only competition for cinematographers where both the nominees and winners are chosen solely by their peers.”
