For the thriller Snake Eyes, cinematographer Stephen H. Burum, ASC shot a series of hair, make-up and lighting tests with actress Carla Gugino, who stars in the movie. The tests, shot on July 16, 1997, allowed Burum to study the way the light played on Gugino's face, and also enabled make-up artist Lucille Demers and hairdresser Rejean Forget to experiment with the different looks the actress would have in the movie.
